ZAMFARA APC REPLIES SPOKESPERSON OF SEN. MARAFA OVER ATTACK

Published

on

The publicity secretary of All Progressive Congress in Zamfara Mal. Yusuf Idris has described as mischievous the statement issued by Sen. Marafa spokesperson Bello Bakyasuwa that he and a lawyer were attacked by some suspected political thugs after court proceedings on Thursday.

Idris, who described the statement by Bakyasuwa as childish, explained that, he and Bakyasuwa sat down in same place during the court proceedings and also escorted him to his car without any hitch.

While describing Bakyauswa’s statement as lies, Idris said, both security agencies and journalists could testify that there were no crises throughout the period the court proceedings lasted.

While stating that the press statement issued by Bakyasuwa was prepared before the court proceedings, Idris stated further that APC is one in Zamfara and there is no faction as claimed by some members of the party.

He wondered how he will be attacked by the thugs or hoodlums as he claimed without sustaining any injury.

He described as unprofessional the use of the word anarchy by Bakyasuwa in trying to describe his allegations of attack.

He also explained that since he saw the thugs within the court premises, it was expected that he raised alarm for the security agencies to take appropriate measures.

He asserts that Bakyasuwa might have been sensing failure at the end of the proceedings and as such he came of up with fabricated story to attract the sympathy of the people.

“He has indicated that his members will carry arms to the court at the next sitting, so we advise that we should (both APC and the so-called group members) all submit ourselves to thorough search before we are allowed to be in court on the next adjourned date”.

“On fishing out his attackers, since he saw and knows them, the security agents should invite him to help them fish out his attackers”.

“I wish to advise Bello Bakyasuwa to play politics with truthfulness and stop attaching their anticipated losses on our great party and the people’s governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle for them to cover their total failure”.
