Zamfara State Commissioner for Rural Development and Cooperative Abubakar Abdullahi Tsafe has facilitated the wedding of 50 less privilege girls from his country home as part of his concern to supporting children of the poor, lessprivilege and orphans.
The ceremony which took place at the Palace of Yandoton Tsafe Muhammad Abubakar Bawa was well attended by dignitaries including the Speaker of Zamfara State House of Assembly Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya and former Deputy Governor Malam Ibrahim Wakkala.
The 50 number of girls were selected across 17 districts of the Emirate and were carefully selected on the recommendation of the 12 man committee set up for the event headed by Liman Musa Kura.
The politician provided all the facilities required for the wedding of the selected girls including beds, clothen materials, and assorted food stuffs.
Speaking during the ceremony Commissioner Abubakar Abdullahi Tsafe said he has decided to embark on the programme as part of the effort to complimenting the good work of Governor Bello Matawalle of providing relief to the poor and lessprivilege persons in the state.
He noted that he was moved to embark on the programme considering the extent at which armed bandits activities have rendered several people as orphans hence there was the need to do the little to support them in that regard.
Speaker Zamfara State House of Assembly Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya and former Deputy Governor Malam Ibrahim Wakkala commended the politician for the job well done describing the gesture as not only good but timely.
