ZAMFARA COMMISSIONER SUPPORT 300 PEOPLE AHEAD OF ID-EL KABIR FESTIVAL

Zamfara State Commissioner for Security and Home Affairs Abubakar Muhammad Dauran has distributed clothing materials to over 300 beneficiaries in his political constituency of Zurmi ahead of the Id-el Kabir celebration.

Apart from the clothing materials, the Commissioner also distributed the sum of 5000 to each of the 300 beneficiaries for food stuffs and settlement of other logistics for the Sallah celebration.

In his address during the ceremony CommissionerAbubakar Muhammad Dauran explained that, as representative of the people of his constituency it has become mandatory for him to support them and make them feel accomodated especially during festivities like Id-el Kabir.

He assured the beneficiaries and indeed all the well wishers that gathered at the ceremony that he will continue to pursue all the opportunities and make sure that, people of Zurmi have benefited much from the government of Bello Matawalle.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to News Men, expressed gratitude to the Commissioner for the support and urged him to sustain his good gesture from time to time.

The exercise was conducted at his home town in Dauran which is a district in Zurmi local government and was well attended by politicians in the area including the Chief of Staff to the Governor and former Military Governor of Nasarawa State Col. Bala Mande rtd.

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
