Chairman of Zamfara State Peace Committee has extended the ongoing peace accord to Kaura Namoda Emirate Council with a call on all stakeholders to embrace peace.
Chairman of the Committee who doubled as the State Commissioner of Police, Usman Nagogo noted that, the ongoing peace initiative by the state government since inception has yielded positive result hence relative peace has so far being restored.
But he said, the recent scenerio which resulted to some scores of attacks in some parts of the state had necessitated the calls for a reviewed meeting with traditional rulers at the state government house where it was resolved that, revisitation of the emirates needs to be done to further enlighten the public on the importance of peace.
In his remarks, the Emir of Kaura Namoda Alh. Sanusi Mohd Asha explained that, the Emirate Council has already map out security strategies aimed at sustaining the peace saying, the measures have succeeded in preventing major outbreak of insecurity in the area.
In a related development, the State Police Commissioner Usman Nagogo used the opportunity to inaugurate peace Committee for the Emirate and charge them to be proactive in ensuring lasting peace.
The visit was attended by Director State Security Services, and All other heads of security agencies in the state.
