Bungudu Local Government Council Chairman Abdul’azeez Ahmad Nahuche has asked the state Commissioner of Police Usman Nagogo to as a matter of public interest investigate the allegation of stealing of hospital equipment raised by one Yunusa Bawa Rawayya against himself and five others.
The Chairman make the appeal in a counter petition he wrote to the state Police Commissioner a copy which was obtained by Thunder Blowers Online News Medium reads that, “I appeal to the CP to please investigate the matter and find out the factual issues involved saying, the allegation is both baseless and targeted at tarnishing my reputation and that of my family”.
The Chairman noted that, he was never a Council Chairman when the facilities were delivered to the Rawayya Primary Health Care hence the supply of the hospital equipment in question was done in 2014 while he came in as Bungudu council Chairman in 2016.
He also noted that, not even a mention of the Rawayya Primary Health care or the equipment installed was made in the handing over briefing by his predecessor and as such he don’t even know what was supplied and installed, let alone connive with someone to steal what belongs to his people.
He urged the Police Commissioner to investigate the matter thoroughly and make the outcome of the investigation public so that his name can be cleared.
He noted further that, his decision to write counter affidavit was informed by the level of pressure from his immediate family, associates, friends and well wishers who feels not comfortable with the density of the allegations raised by the petitioner.
