Zamfara State government has announced the enforcement of statewide curfew following the lingering security crises that rocked the state.
State police Commissioner Ayuba Elkana announced this during a press conference held at the State Police Headquarters in Gusau on Wednesday.
The CP during the briefing announced that no movement of people or vehicles from 6pm to 6am across the 13 local government area of the state and 8pm to 6am in Gusau the State Capital.
He also announced that all schools government and privately owned have been shut down.
Elkana said the measures are aimed at making sure that the rising insecurity challenges confronting the state are tackled.
