Zamfara state Deputy Governor Sen. Hassan Muhammad Nasiha has hosted Zamfara media executives and practitioners to a dinner in Gusau on Saturday.
The dinner, which was organized to avail the Sen with the opportunity to meet the media executives and interact with them with a view to chatting the way forward.
Mal. Bashir Sanda Gusau the head of Al’umma Television and Managing Editor and Team Lead of Thunder Blowers Multimedia Services Dr. Anas Sani Anka spoke extensively on the need for the government to enhance corporate engagement with the media practitioners so that together appropriate information can be disseminated.
Sanda in particular emphasized the need for social media handlers to always embrace professionalism and ensure balancing in all the reports and information disseminated.
Anka on the other hand implore government officials and politicians to always carry media practitioners alone without discrimination.
In his remarks, the State Deputy Governor Sen. Hassan Nasiha said he organized the get-togethers considering the vital role media practitioners played in the development of any administration.
He said meeting with the media practitioners is the 3rd in the series of events he started since his inauguration and urged the media practitioners to be very proactive and neutral in their daily practice.
He said he has decided to step down as Senator and come back home to serve as Deputy Governor is because of the concern he has for the people of Zamfara state.
