Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle of Zamfara has flagged off the construction of Sankalawa, Tofa and Samawa feeder roads on Tuesday with an extended assurance that more critical rural roads would be reconstructed by his administration In order to make movement of goods and people easier.
The road project is part of the plan reconstruction of 750 rural roads across the state which was concieved by his administration under the special road work of the State Ministry for Rural Development and Cooperative.
The road project which is to be carried out on direct labour by the State Ministry of Rural Development and Cooperative is to be executed in three local government areas of Maradun, Bungudu and Tsafe at the pilot stage.
The State Commissioner for Rural Development and Cooperative Abubakar Abdullahi Chafe informed the Governor that the three local governments were selected for the pilot project adsing that, soon the project will be expanded to other local government areas of the state.
