Zamfara state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party has accused Governor Bello Matawalle of collecting a total of (N31,310,000,000) as cash allocation and security vote from the state coffers since May 2019.
Deputy State Chairman of the party of Prof. Kabiru Jabaka who stated this during a press conference on Wednesday said the level of scam and financial recklessness of the Matawalle administration has become a source of concern to every well-meaning citizen of the state.
“We are all aware that the Governor collects (N600M) every month as a security vote note it. The office of the executive governor collect (N350M) as his CA, office of the PPS (N30M), government house (N30M) just imagine this” Jabaka wondered.
He added “office of the deputy Governor collect (N30M), Speaker (N3.5M), deputy speaker, (N3M), principal officers (N2.5M) while the other flow members collects (N2M) each As their cash allocation.
Jabaka said when put together, the (N600M) he collects as Security vote, plus the (N350M) for the office of the executive Governor (OEG), the (N30m) for the PPS and another (N30m) for the government house the governor collect a whole sum put together from June – December 2019 at (N7,070M).
As for the year 2020/2021 Jabaka said adding up the amount calculated earlier, the Governor has collected a total sum of (24,240B)
He said, from June 2019 to date the Governor has collected a total sum of (N31,310B) as security vote and cash allocation.
Jabaka called on the members of the state house of assembly to invite the Governor to explain to Zamfara people what he has done with the money.
