According to the letter signed by Barr. Muhammad Sani Tahir, dated 11th of April 2023 the letter reads that “the insecurity that vehemently troubles our roads, especially along Tsafe to Zaria route, the insecurity of which has recently escalated to the point of making that particular route inaccessible to ordinary people that do not move about with security entourage providing security support for them”.

The letter added, “the recent sequential security breaches that occurred at Tsafe and Wanzamai along the only road that takes any person from Gusau to Abuja in reference”.

Sani Tahir added “in view of the above a d for the fact that all the alleged purported offenses which the members of our client are alleged to have committed had all according to your invitation letters served on them occurred in the conduct of the recently concluded general election held in Zamfara in which the incumbent government of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Zamfara was voted for Zamfara masses and defeated hands down”.

“We are strongly relying on the said undisputed insecurity being perpetrated by bandits that ma, kidnap, kill at will and terrorize motorists along that Tsafe, Funtua, and Zaria routes coupled with the facts that all the alleged purported offenses, complained to your office occurred within territorial jurisdiction of Zamfara and none of those alleged offenses spread to any neighboring state for them to form part of a large and complex investigation”.

Sir, unlike the members of our client’s counterpart in the state APC whom we believe have made these outrageously frivolous and various accusations against our client’s member and lodged it in a place where they very well knew our client cannot conveniently without putting their lives at risk take themselves to Abuja while the APC members in Zamfara still hold and have all the wherewithal. State apparatus and insecurity manipulation at their disposal for them to travel to anywhere in Nigeria safely”.

“For that we humbly craved your consideration to transfer the said investigation to Zamfara state command under your able Commissioner of police stationed in the state whose effort to curtail crimes in the state is being commended by all”.
