Zamfara police commissioner Ayuba Elkana in company of all his tactical commanders has on Monday paid a visit to Gusau Correctional center with a view to assessing security arrangement put in place by the management of the facility.
According to the statement by the police spokesperson SP Shehu Muhammad, the CP while touring the facility, assured the management that the police command is ready to always provide any security request aimed at improving security and safety of the inmates housed in that facility.
On his part, the State Comptroller of the service lauded the effort of the police commissioner for showing concern for the safety of the correctional centers statewide and assured that his office would always keep in touch with the police with a view to sustaining synergy.
