Newly deployed Zamfara Commissioner of Police Yusuf Kolo has conducted on the spot assessment of the conduct of the police officers operating along Talatar-Mafara Gusau highway.
The CP who was on his way to Talatar Mafara for a familiarization visit used the opportunity to make assessment of the capacity of the police tactical team operating along the highway.
According to the Police Spokesperson SP Shehu Muhammad the CP had identified five critical locations along the highway where he said police from PMF and CTU would be deployed to manage and strengthen the security network along the highway.
“During the patrol, the CP equally visited joint operatives of Operation Hadarin Daji nipping point opposite Zamfara State College of Education Maru, where he charged the personnel to be security conscious of themselves and the community they are protecting”.
The Commissioner of Police used the opportunity of the tour to pay a courtesy visit on His Royal Highness the Emir of Mafara, Alhaji Dr. Bello Mohammed Barmo at his Palace.
According to SP Shehu, the CP assured the Emir that, with the ongoing commitment and determination of the Police and other security agencies in the state, normalcy would be restored across the state.
He tasked members of the public on active intelligence sharing with law enforcement agencies for effective policing of all spaces.
The Commissioner of Police while returning to Gusau, stopped at 207 Quick Response Group, Nigerian Air Force Base, where the CP visited the Commander Mr. D M Komo and solicited for harmonious working synergy among the security operatives for effective service delivery.
