ZAMFARA SPEAKER TO RESUSCITATING CIVIL SOCIETY LIAISON OFFICE

Speaker of Zamfara state House of assembly Nasiru Muazu Magarya has reaffirmed the commitment of the house of assembly to resuscitating the activities of the civil society liaison office, which is located within the Ibrahim Mallaha legislative complex for maximum efficiency.

According to the statement by the house spokesperson Nasiru Usman Buyabiki, the decision was to strengthen partnership with civil society actors in their bid to ensuring that they were given the deserving platform to support the activities of the state legislatures.

Biyabiki said, Speaker Magarya stated this while conducting an inspection of the house complex on Wednesday.

“Having such an important office in the Assembly will allow for a wider engagement tapping from both an external and internal support and experience there by improving the house efficiency and people-oriented legislation”.

Biyabiki said the Speaker thanked the staff of the house for their continued support and dedication to their duties.

According to him, Magarya assured that, the house under his watch will continue to accord priority to the welfare of the staff by offering reward to the deserving staff and also ensure appropriate punishment to the defaulting ones.

Reacting to the rationale behind the inspection of the house complex, Magarya said the purpose was to ascertain the house structural challenges and also provide the deserving solution to enhance the working condition of the staff and members.

Buyabiki said, the Clerk of the state house of assembly after taking the Speaker round the legislative complex, thanked him for the support and sustaining the cordial working relationship with the staff of the assembly.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
