Members of Zamfara state house of assembly have adopted the report/recommendations of the ethics and privilege committee advising for the reinstatement of their two colleagues who were suspended few months back.
According to a statement by the house Spokesperson Mustapha Jafaru Kaura, the said, the committee led by Kabiru Hashimu Dansadau cleared them of the allegation raised against them.
Few months back one of the members representing Maru Yusuf Alhassan Kanoma raised an allegation against Hon. Yusuf Muhammad Anka and Hon. T. Tukur over their suspicious relationship with the bandits.
The house led by Speaker Nasiru Magarya ordered for their suspension and asked the ethics and privilege committee to investigate the allegation and report back.
Jafaru said, Speaker Magarya commended the effort of the committee for digging deep to arrive at their position and ordered for the recall of the suspended members with effect from the new legislative year.
In a related development, Jafaru said members of Zamfara state house of assembly had on Tuesday considered the report of the public account committee on the 2020 State Auditor General’s Account.
