ZMSHA BAN NOMINEES FROM COMING TO HOUSE WITH SUPPORTERS DURING SCREENING & CONFIRMATION EXERCISE

Zamfara State House of Assembly has warned nominees sent for screening and confirmation by the executive Governor to stay away from bringing their supporters into the Chambers, often invitation by the house.

The Speaker of the State House of Assembly Nasiru Muazu Magarya communicated the decision during the Wednesday’s plenary

According to the statement by the Spokes’ person of the house Mustapha Jafar Kaura said, the house became dissatisfied with mammoth crowd that usually accompanied nominees to the house who used to distract the house via many immoral utterances.

According to Jafar a small crise ensued when two of the members of the State House of Assembly namely Abdulnaseer Gayari and Shamsu Hassan Basko stood up to raise some concern on the manner in which nominees like Atiku Balarabe Zawiyya, Rabiatu Ibrahim Shinkafi and Malam Jamilu Ahmad Gusau were asked to drop their CV’s take a vow and leave without drilling them to explain the records of their previous achievements.

The circumstances behind the observations raised did not go well with some supporters of the nominees who were already watching the proceedings in the galary, a circumstance that influenced them to react and started exchanging insulting words between them and members.

The Speaker, who expressed sadness with the development rules that henceforth, only three humble persons would be allowed to accompany a nominee into the house.

While apologizing to his colleagues for the unanticipated embarrassment he warned the sergeant, at arm to henceforth take decisive measures on any political supporter that goes against the rules of the house.

According to Jafaru, the Speaker later confirmed the nomination of two Commissioners and ten Special Advisers as well as the State Auditor General.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
