Zamfara State Urban and Regional has remitted the sum of N40,577,000 from January to December 2022.
Special Adviser to the Board, Comr. Anas Abdullahi Kaura who stated this during the defense of the 2023 appropriation bill.
Kaura said the amount remitted is the highest by the board since the creation of the state in 1996.
He insisted that for the year 2023, the board has mapped out a revenue target of N150M noting that, new strategies have been put in place to ensure that the revenue target.
Kaura emphasizes that the board is working in partnership with all critical stakeholders to ensure that revenue is generated.
The house committee on Finance and appropriation headed by Shamsu Hassan Basko commended the effort of ZUREPB for being proactive in ensuring that more revenue is generated to compliment the economic reality of the state.
They rated ZUREPB as the revenue generating agency with the highest revenue votes in the state.
