The former gubernatorial candidate of all Progressive Grand Alliance APGA in Zamfara Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi has alleged that, since 2011 election former Zamfara Governor Abdulazeez Yari has never won free and fair election in Zamfara state.
Wambai who declared this during a Press Conference in Gusau on Monday said, what he meant by free and fair election was winning an election without vote buying, ballot box snatching and other electoral irregularities.
He said it was regrettable for the former Governor Yari to declared that, he does not want a single vote which is won through electoral malpractices saying since 2011 former Governor Yari has been a beneficiary of illegal votes.
He busted that, he won the Governorship race in 2015 because thousands of votes won by his party APGA were not recorded at the point of collation and that he has gone to the extent of challenging that decision at the tribunal.
He said the poorly description of the election conducted in Bakura by the former Governor was an aberration and lack of regard to the constitution of Nigeria noting that election is election and the irregularities that marred it cannot change its name as election.
