The National Headquarters of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has written a letter of notice of ward congress scheduled for November 13th 2021 in Zamfara State to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The letter which was written on the 10th November 2021 and addressed to the Chairman of the commission Prof. Mahmud Yakub a copy obtained also obtained by this medium reads “follow up to our letter referenced APC/NHDQ/INEC/19/021/75 dated 14th September and 27th October 2021 on the notice of conduct of state congresses respectively”.
“This is to inform the commission that our great party has rescheduled to hold congress in Zamfara state on Saturday 13th November 2021 instead of the earlier date of 20th November 2021.
“Kindly arrange for your officials to monitor the congress accordingly”.
Meanwhile a source close to the APC Governor Bello Matawalle faction has confirmed to this medium that the committee sent by the National Headquarters of the APC led by Kabiru Masari has already arrived Gusau the capital city on Friday, and they have gone into crucial meeting with the state APC stakeholders at the private residence of former Minister of State for Finance Amb. Bashir Yuguda Gusau.
Former gubernatorial candidate of the APC for 2019 election in Zamfara and former Speaker and now the Chief of Staff to the Speaker Federal House of Reps Sanusi Garba Rikiji are all part of those APC stakeholders who are to support the committee in the conduct of the congress on Saturday.
