Zamfara State Commissioner for Finance Rabiu Garba boasted that, at the age of 37 he is not in politics to make money but his passion is to make concerted efforts to see that Governor Matawalle has succeeded.
The Commissioner who made the declaration at Zamfara Radio phone in programme described Governor Matawalle as “political father” who gives him an opportunity to serve people without mincing others who had worked with him in same spirit politically.
He noted further that, it would be childish for him to be dreaming of making money at his younger age instead he boasted that, he wants to leave behind a record of service to his people.
“Many politicians have found some ways of making money but after powers where is the money?. My passion is how to assist the Governor to succeed and deliver to the people of the state not raising questionable money” Rabiu added.
“I want see a situation where by even if we are not in government some days some people will look at the legacies and reforms we have left behind and remembered us for doing good and those coming behind us would continue from where we have stopped so that collectively we can work together to change the negative narratives about Zamfara” the Commissioner added.
On his suspecious political ambition, the Commissioner noted that, he holds no political ambition and that there is no political reason why he should be aspiring for any post considering the unique opportunity given to him by the Governor to serve the state in the present capacity as finance Commissioner.
