BANDITS KILLS FOUR AND KIDNAPPED OVER (50) IN ANOTHER ZAMFARA VILLAGE
Bandits armed with dangerous weapons have again invaded Ruwan Doruwa district in Maru local government area of Zamfara State, kills four and abducted over fifty (50) persons.
A source at Ruwan Doruwa said the bandits came to the town around 1:00am and started shooting sporadically, a circumstance that scared many residents who fled for their safety.
He noted that the bandits killed four persons and embarked on house to house search for abduction.
He mentioned that one of the residents affected by name officer Jijjilo had his immediate younger brother killed by the bandits, while his wife and that of his younger brother were abducted.
He also mentioned that the bandits attacked one Alh Bashir Ruwan Doruwa who currently has four of his relations with the abductors.
He added that, one Alh Hassan Abubakar Ruwan Doruwa also has two of his younger brothers, Rayyanu and Basiru abducted during the operation.
As of this morning, majority of the people contacted informed this medium that over fifty people from Ruwan Doruwa are likely with the abductors as the headcount continues.
The funeral prayers of those killed was conducted in the morning of Friday while the residents said Emir of Maru and Divisional Police Officer of Maru had all arrived in the town.
This was the second attack launched by the bandits at Ruwan Doruwa within the scope of a month.
Police are yet to make statement regarding the attack, even as all attempt to speak to the police Spokesperson proved abortive.
