CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF DISTRIBUTE PALLIATIVE IN ZAMFARA STATE

As part of the activities lined up for the celebration of 2020 army day celebration, Nigerian Chief of army staff Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai has distributed palliative including food stuffs and reading books to over 200 beneficiaries in Kaura Namoda Emirate Council of Zamfara State. 


The Chief of Army Staff represented by the head of Military Transformation and Innovation Major Gen. Njaku explained that the gesture is part of the drive of the Nigerian military of strengthening its relationship with the civilian and part of the activities lined up for the 2020 army day celebration. 


He called on the public to strengthen their tiers with the military by sharing intelligence that will lead to winning the war against the banditry. 

He maintaed that, Nigerian army under the Chief of Army Tukur Buratai will not relent till it wipe out bandits and restore a lasting peace in the state. 


In his remarks, the Emir of Kaura Namoda Sanusi Muhammad Asha thanked the Chief of Army staff for selecting Kaura Namoda Emirate Council for the gesture adding that, the beneficiaries were carefully selected across 11 poling wards and hope the gesture will benefit the beneficiaries. 
It could be recall that, last week the Chief of Army Staff who doubled as Sadaukin Kaura Namoda conducted similar exercise to over 10,000 beneficiaries at Faskari local government in Katsina State.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
