Resident of Shinkafi has raised alarm that activities of armed bandits had likely affected them from having access to MTN telecommunications network.
One of the residents of Shinkafi Hamdan Alhazzai who spoke to this medium said based on the reliable information, the bandits have destroyed part of the MRN marst in Moriki which invariably affected their ability to having access to MTN telecommunications network for close to five days in Shinkafi.
He added that, those using MTN have been shut out of communication and many people trying to reach out to their lovely ones in Shinkafi found it difficult due to shutdown in NTN network.
Another citizen of Shinkafi Aliyu Gura Guri Shinkafi said he travelled back home to see his relations and that throughout the period he stayed he could not get connected with anyone using his MTN communication network.
But he said he could not estabkish in a clear term whether if it is true that the shutdown in MTN communication network is a result of the activities of the bandits.
Another citizen of Moriki who spoke to this medium said, he has confirmed from many people back home that the MTN network has been shutdown in Moriki for almost five days but explained that the source of the crises with the MTN network has not be established by the MTN management.
He explained further that the residents of Moriki who are using MTN had to switched to using alternative network to get access to the larger society.
Secretary of the state taskforce committee on security Barr. Abdulrasheed Haruna confirmed that they have received information regarding the shutdown of the MTN network but explained that the taskforce is still working to ascertain the cause of the problem.
He assured that, as soon as the taskforce find out the source of the problem it would be made known to the public.
