Zamfara State Government has secured the release of eleven kidnapped victims including two breast feeding mothers from captivity.
The abductees were released along Tsafe forest and it was confirmed that, two of the victims are from Bauchi State, two from Sokoto and one from Niger State.
Receiving the abductees Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle expressed optimism with the ongoing peace effort which led to the release of eleven kidnapped victims. He said his government will remain committed to the protection of lives and properties of the citizens of the state.
The Governor noted further that, those bandits who refused to accept peace will be dealt with decisively by the government.
The victims also expressed gratitude to God almighty and the state government for the effort made in securing their release from captivity and prayed for the return of sustainable peace in Zamfara and Nigeria at large.
