FORMER IGP DENIES AUDIO CIRCULATING ON SOCIAL MEDIA

The former Inspector General of Police Muhammad Abubakar has denied the audio circulating on the social media alleging that, he has resigned his appointment as Chairman of the of the security committee set up by Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle of Zamfara.

In a statement personally signed by the former IGP and copied to Thunder Blowers Online News Medium the former IGP said the voice recording is fake and looking at his status and personality he does not make such irresponsible comments.

“My attention has been drawn to an on line media audio in circulation in the social media in respect of voice statement purportedly assumed to be made by me. IGP MD Abubakar Rtd here by denied the said voice recording as my voice and to add that it’s fake and I do not make irresponsible comments or careless statements” the statement added.

It could be recall that, the present Governor of Zamfara Bello Muhammad Matawalle has constituted a committee under the headship of the former IGP to investigate the cause of the unending security situation in the state and recommend to the government appropriate measures for action.

The committee has since submitted their report to the government.

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
