The Zamfara APC leader Abdulazez Yari Abubakar had attended the closing of the APC campaign rally in Bakura amidst hundreds of party supporters.
The APC leader who arrived Bakura in company of the former Civilian Governor of the State Mahmuda Aliyu Shinkafi former Chairman House Committee on Security Aminu Sani Jaji was well received by thousands of APC supporters.
Earlier before his arival, the AIG Zone 10 Muhammad Mustapha had told News men in a briefing that Police in collaboration with other security agencies have suspended all campaign rallies in Bakura considering the emerging security challenges that trailed the movement in recent days.
But as the former Governor arrived Bakura, his thousands of supporters barricaded the entire axis of the entry road chanting various political slogans in support of their political hero.
All attempt by the AIG to stop the former Governor from entering Bakura has failed as party supporters took control of the traffic of the road leading to the campaign venue.
At the venue of the campaign, former Governor Yari who was visibly emotional waved at his supporters as he was moved round the podium by the party Chairman and other well wishers.
Yari thanked the teeming APC supporters for their tireless support and cooperation to the party and urged them to remain law abiding as the party continue to gather momentum not just for Bakura bye but 2023 in general.
At the end of closing rally, the movement out of Bakura was almost difficult as security operatives worked harder to control traffic out of Bakura town.
In an interview with news men in his home town Talatar Mafara former Governor Abdulazeez Yari said he is not aware that the rally was suspended because as per as he knows, the security agencies especially the police have approved the date for the APC.
He asked the police to exhibit high sense of neutrality hence Bakura people have right to vote and participate in any legitimate political association.
