Precisely two hours after Zamfara former Governor left Bakura for the closing of APC campaign, Governor Bello Matawalle of PDP has also led his campaign team to Bakura town amidst party supporters.
The decision of the Governor to revisit Bakura was informed by the action of the former Governor Abdulazeez Yari to attend the closing of the APC campaign on Thursday despite the order suspending all campaign activities in Bakura by the police.
A source in the PDP who confided on this medium said, since the former Governor of the Zamfara has choses to ignore the order of the police and go ahead to organize a closing rally, the Governor has no option than to also lead the PDP delegation for closing of their campaign on Thursday.
Some unconfirmed sources told this medium that, both supporters of the two warring political parties the APC and PDP had embarked on the destruction of party properties including vehicles of some innocent travellers plying the road.
The AIG of Zone 10 told news men in a Press Conference that, two people were killed as a result of crises between supporters of the two political parties a circumstance that led the police to announce the suspension of all campaign rallies in Bakura local government.
It was also on public notice that the state government has enforce curfew in Mafara and Bakura in order to allow for security agencies restore relative peace in the area.
