Former Commissioner of Science and Technology Ahmad Abubakar Maradun has criticize the creation of three additional ministries by Governor Bello Matawalle even as he insisted that such a decision is irrational.
Maradun who spoke to the Managing Editor of Thunder Blowers on Thursday explained that, Zamfara State does not need up to twenty ministries considering the shortfall in the revenue accrual to the state.
“The Governor is either misinformed or conducted his action deliberately, but he knew fully well that his political structure is both inactive and may not yield any fruitful result”
He said the problem with the government of Bello Matawalle is that it is breeding incompetent people who have nothing to offer for the development of the state.
“We are vindicated that the government of Zamfara is run by of incompetent people and this is why two years in to the government they have less to show as evidence of service delivery”.
He argued that, in the first place there is no justification for the volume of political appointments the Governor has been making since assumption in office noting that a significant percentage of those appointed have no schedule of duty.
“Maradun said for several times the Governor was criticized for breeding incompetent people in the political administration of the state and their incapacitation is reflecting visibly in the performance of his government” Maradun added.
On the persistent calls for the Governor to reshuffle his cabinet, Ahmad Maradun said, what the PDP government in Zamfara needed is total restructuring of its political architecture and inclusion of more capable hands that understand how government functions.
