A prominent national member of Jama’atul Tajdedul Islam Malam Shehu Mai Shanu Gulubba has been released from captivity after he was abducted by some suspected bandits on Friday.
He was abducted while traveling to Sokoto from Zamfara state close to Lambar Tureta along Zamfara border with the Sokoto state.
A source said a negotiation was made before he was eventually released by his captors.
In a Thanksgiving remarks, Mr. Gulubba said, he thanked almighty Alla for the tireless prayers by friends family members and well wishers while in captivity expressing delight that throughout the period of his captivity he was not harmed by his abductors.
He explained that two things must be done before this issue of kidnapping could be end noting that with what he saw while in captivity a lot need to be done to ensure the act of banditry has been ended.
He emphasized that, the authorities need to fight illiteracy and injustice so that together people can be educated to understand reality in life.
