The Special Adviser to Zamfara State Governor on Public Enlightenment Media and Communication Malam Zailani Bappa has distances Zamfara State Governor and any of his agent from the recent arrest of the APC supporters by the operatives of the Nigerian Police Force.
Malam Bappa who spoke to the BBC Hausa service on Monday said, the police force are under the jurisdiction of the Federal Government and there is no politician that should hide under any political umbrella to stop police from carrying out their constitutional duties.
On the allegations that, some police men attached to the office of the Governor are used in carrying out the arrest, Bappa said, “all we know by law some police men are legitimately attached to the government hoise as their duty post and they are doing their job as instructed”.
“If there is any state where oppositions are doing what they want without being cautioned is Zamfara State. In the whole Nigeria it is only in Zamfara State where people from opposition parties are assigned a delegated responsibility. Supporters of APGA, APC are all part of the present PDP government of Matawalle. The present SSG is a bonafide member of the APC and he has never for once declared that he has defected from the APC to the PDP” Bappa declared.
