NSCDC ZAMFARA DEPLOYS OVER 700 PERSONELS FOR EID FITR CELEBRATION

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Zamfara State Command has deployed over 700 personnel of the Corps to various centres of worship and recreation areas in Zamfara State for Eidi Fitr celebration.

According to the statement by the Corp Public Relations Ikor Oche DSC part of the number deployed are to work throughout the public holidays declared by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Mr Ikor cited the Deputy State Commandant who stood in for the commandant BB Bodinga saying “the deployment is a design by the Corps to ensure that the celebration of Sallah is conducted hitch free devoid of any rancour”.

He added that, “the Commandant A A Sparks said no stone will be left unturned in the advent of maintaining security in the state”.

He therefore warned that all hoodlums and miscreants who have the desire to fan embers of mischief to relocate from the state as Zamfara is no longer a safe haven for criminals.

He further stated that, “the Rapid Response Squad and the female Arms Squad have been briefed and deployed accordingly to commence patrol before, during and after the holiday periods.

He also said that “all motor parks and various bus stops have been adequately manned by the intelligent unit of the Corps to checkmate commuters movement”.

He added “the Corps has also made a comprehensive deployments to the various Eidi grounds during the sallah periods for security coverage”.

He further stated that, the state Commandant however congratulates all Muslim Faithfuls for the Ramadan that is successfully coming to an end and also wished them a happy Eidi Fitr celebration in advance”.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
