An APC chieftain in Zamfara Sani Abdullahi Wamban Shinkafi has stated that one of the thugs that attacked him at the Rabiat Friday Mosque has a record of armed banditry.
Wamban Shinkafi who specifically mentioned the name of the thugs One Achikifi, insisted that the man has a record of murder, theft, and killing and that the security agencies in Zamfara could testify to the statement he has made.
He said despite these records, the thugs have been running freely on the streets of Gusau.
Shinkafi also said it was very ungodly that such an unfortunate scenario could occur at a Friday Mosque where people went to serve their God.
He also said in the video clip of the incident which went viral, the thugs linked their action to Minister Bello Matawalle, Tukur Danfulani and Senator Yari Abubakar.
He insisted that he will forward his petition to the police Commissioner for allegation of criminal Conspiracy, attempt to murder against his life and that of his family by the thugs.
He further said, the law must take its course and that he will remain in Gusau until justice is done to him and his family
He called on the Governor Dauda Lawql to step into the matter and ensure that the law is enacted to provide penalty for perpetrators of thuggery in the state.
He warned that if the situation is not put under control Zamfara will be ungovernable.
