Former civilian Governor of Zamfara State Ahmad Rufai Sani has pronounced that, he has forgiven his former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Sani Takori Gummi over what he termed as “baseless petitions” written against him on alleged mismanagement of constituency project funds.
Sen. Yarima who spokes extensively to Managing Editor of Thunder Blowers in Abuja on Thursday said, Takori out of his personal reasons wrote several petitions against him and was investigated by ICPC and other investigation bodies without being found wanting.
He said it looks as if Takori has not understood the entire process related to the alleged constituency fund noting that, he only used his position as one of the principal officers in the senate as at that time to make sure that about 1.5 billion naira has been appropriated for construction of dams in Gummi and Bukkuyum through Sokoto Rima River Basin Development Authority.
As for whether the projects have been executed or not, he said he is not the right person to answer that question because he does not work for Rima Basin.
“Takori should have understood that, Yarima does not work in the Rima Basin neither he was a contractor, so what connects him with the constituency funds” he asked? .
“I was invited by the ICPC over one of his petitions and I went for interactions with their officials believe me I was never found wanting, and I think he should have become satisfied with the outcome of their investigation”.
“Takori is part of me and I told him despite what he has done to me, I have forgiven him because like I used to tell you, I will never die with anyone in my heart”.
“Even recently he called me for us to greet, and we had spoken to each other and life goes on because we have to build a relationship that was extended up to the family level, and I am sure Takori would testify to that.
