SUSPENSION: I AM YET TO DECIDE MY NEXT STEP: OSHIOMOLE

The suspended Chairman of All Progressive Change (APC), Adams Oshiomhole has accepted the Appeal Court’s verdict which upheld his suspension saying that he is yet to decide his next moves.

Oshiomole revealed this during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, noting that his next line of action will be determined by his lawyers based on legal advice.

In his words, “We thank their lordships, they have given their judgment. In our democracy, the court is an independent arm of government.

“When they handed down that judgment, it is not for you to pick whether you will obey or not. I accept their judgment in good fate.

“My lawyers will advise me having studied the judgment, what the next line of action will be. So at this point, I will just thank their Lordships for their judgment and look forward to my lawyers on what should be the next line if there should be another next line of action,” he said.

Asking if he would instruct his lawyers to appeal the ruling of the appellate court on his suspension, the suspended APC chieftain neither confirmed nor opposed the question he instead, disclosed that his next move would not be discussed on national television.

Oshiomole insisted that what he will do next would be based on his legal advice and his lawyers will act on that and there is no point disposing that through the television.

He insisted that It is a relationship between a lawyer and his client and it should be left at that.

In his reaction to the decision of the party’s National Working Committee to disqualify Obaseki from participating in the APC primary election scheduled to hold on June 22, Oshiomhole said there was no going back on the decision.

He therefore, pleaded for peace among members of the party, while advising Giadom against parading himself as the national chairman of the party.

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
