The suspect accused of doctoring a fake audio conversation link to the Managing Editor of Thunder Blowers Dr. Anas Sani Anka has been arrested on Monday.

He was arrested on the order of the Divisional Police Officer of Tsafe after the original person who made the call conversation with him entered a direct complaint against him.

His name is Garba Fanches based in Tsafe local government area of the state.

The complainant is Alh Nura Ola Tsafe and after the arrest of Garba Fanches he insisted that the Divisional Police Officer prepare a First Information Report (FIR) and tookthem to court.

Ola has told the court that he is accusing Garba Fanches of defaming his character and mischievously spreading manipulated audio conversation that is fake.

The presiding Judge ordered that the accused Garba Fanches be remanded in prison custody until 22nd of December 2022 for Nura Ola to begin to present his witnesses in court.

Ola has told Journalists at the court premises that, he was shocked when he heard the audio of the telephone conversation he had with Garba Fanches bearing another man’s voice, likely linked to the Managing Editor of Thunder Blowers.

He said, “if to say Fanches had released that conversation the way it is with my voice I may not feel deep pain but for Fanches to doctored my voice and use that of someone who has no connection with the conversation is a pure case of mischief and I have to challenge him to clear the misperception that is already in the public”.

He added that Fanches has made various confessional statements since when the audio conversation was released to the public, alleging that he has to resort to doing that to use the name of the Managing Editor to get his “political principals” to accept the fact that he is on wanted list so that he can be given money.

In a related development, after the court proceeding on Tuesday another summon was handed over to Garba Fanches from Upper Shariah Court Samaru Gusau which was filed by the Managing Editor of Thunder Blowers Dr. Anas Sani Anka accusing him of defamation of character, public incitements and cheating.
