Member representing Bungudu West Nasiru Lawal Bungudu has offered clarification to his constituents that, government does not offer contract to members of state house of assembly instead projects are allocated for the benefit of their constituencies.
Bungudu who declared this during a town hall meeting on 2021 budgetary appropriation bill in Bungudu said, the government only consult them for the location where a project would be sited while they follow up to ensure compliance as part of their legislative oversight functions.
Bungudu further said, the need for the clarification becomes imperative considering the fact that their constituents used to confronted them whenever the government made a pronouncement that certain projects have been allocated to the state legislatures.
His counterpart from Maru North Hashimu Dansadau told the participants that, the town hall meeting was organized for them to offer suggestions that would help enhance the budgetary system of the state noting that the inputs would be carefully captured before the Appropriation bill is passed.
