The Chairman of All Progressive Congress in Zamfara state Tukur Umar Danfulani has sworn in (35) executive members of the party at the state Secretariat in Gusau with a call on them to work collectively toward promoting peace and development in the state.
According to the party spokesperson Mal. Yusuf Idris Gusau the executives were also issued with their certificate of return.
The Chairman urged all the executives to see themselves as one and always help one another with the sole aim of taking the party to the promise land.
He reminded them that Governor Matawalle met the state at a very terrible condition in all aspects but noted that with the goodwill and prayers of the people things are getting stable.
He also urged them to see themselves as servants and always work toward ensuring justice and fairness to all manners of people.
He promised to run an open government and also carry everybody along with a view to working in unity.
He thanked Governor Matawalle and indeed all critical party stakeholders for their support and promised to always consult them on party matters.
In a vote of thanks on behalf of the other party executives the party secretary Hon. Ibrahim Umar Dangaladima assured of their commitment toward promoting the party.
During the meeting, Hon. Sanusi Garba Rikiji visited the Secretariat and declared his intention to contest for the Zamfara Central Senatorial District which recently become vacant following the appointment of Senator Hassan Muhammad Nasiha to the position of Deputy Governor.
The occasion was attended by all the 14 local government party chairmen and their executives as well as Commissioner of Special Duties, Hon. Abdulaziz Ahmad Nahuche and the state ALGON Chairman, Hon Salisu Isah Dangulbi among others
