ZAMFARA CP DEPLOY HEAVY SECURITY PERSONNEL FOR ID-EL KABIR FESTIVITIES

Ahead of the Id-el Kabir celebration coming up on Friday, Zamfara State Police Command has redeployed adequate number of its personnel across the fourteen local government councils to ensure hitch-free celebration.

In a statement by the state Police Command Public Relations Officer SP Shehu Muhammad said all Id-el praying grounds and major highways would be secured by armed police men who are to ensure that people have not breakdown laws and order.

SP Shehu also said in the statement that, the State Police Commissioner CP Usman Nagogo has instructed all Area Commanders, DPOs and various Tactical commanders to ensure that they cover their areas of responsibility through aggressive stop and search operations and also conduct rigorous patrols as well as ensure that, all areas suspected to be criminal hideout are raided.

Similarly, the CP enjoins members of the public to be security conscious and report all suspicious movement to the nearest police station for prompt action.

The CP further warns all and sundry to abide by the rules and regulations meant for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 in Zamfara state.

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
