ZMSG DISTRIBUTES OVER 900 COWS, 5,663 RAMS TO CITIZENS AS ID-EL KABIR HOLDS FRIDAY

Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle has declared that, his government has procured and distributed over 900 cows and 5,663 rams to various categories of people including less priviledge ones ahead of Id-el kabir celebration coming up on Friday.


The Governor who made the declarationon on Thursday at a Sallah Broadcast in Gusau noted that, less priviledge persons and released abductees were accorded priority in the distribution exercise.


The Governor who did not declared the amount spent by the government for the Sallah intervention noted that, part of the achievement of his administration is facilitation of the return of peace in  the state adding that,  markets earlier closed due to the ramoant activities of the bandits are now open and fully operational and cordial relationship between aggrieved Fulani herdsmen and farmers have been revived.
Matawalle noted further that, people from various communities earlier chased away by the bandits have been reunited and will be celebrating their Id-el Kabir home saying, this has been achieved through the collective effort of all stakeholders.
The Governor who commended the effort of Zamfara State both within and outside the state noted that, the prayer is helping alot in changing the narratives in the state.


He noted further that, his administration will continue to implement policies and programmes that will impact positively on the lives of Zamfara people.


The Governor used the opportunity to urged the people to use the lessons of the Id-el Kabir festivities to promote peace and socio-economic prosperity of the state.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
