Some concern stakeholders from Zamfara state have staged a work to the PDP National headquarters in Abuja to secure a Governorship nomination form for Alh Abubakar Nakwada.
Mr. Abubakar Nakwada is an experienced civil servant who served in various capacities and raise through the cadre to become a substantive director at the Federal Service.
The stakeholders said their decision to pick Governorship nomination ticket for Nakwada was born out of their desire to searching for gubernatorial candidate that has credibility and experience to save Zamfara state from its present condition of socio-economic crises.
After the securing the nomination form, they invited the nominee for an interface at Ekiti Hotel Abuja where the form was presented to him amidst jubilation and array of hope that he will honor the decision in the overall interest of saving the state.
One of the stakeholders who spoke during the interface Rtd Commandant of NSCDC Muhammad Bello Musa said, they were concern about the worsening state of affairs in Zamfara and as a result, they embarked on conducting a search for a credible candidate that will take over Zamfara state and begin the needed reforms.
He said they knew Abubakar Nakwada and the type of upbringing he has received from his father particularly, noting that couple with his civil service experience, Zamfara needed him much at the helm of affairs.
Others who spoke at the event include Aminu Lawal Koramar Boko and Alh Lawali Wakkala Kaura and they all took time to make a review of where we are in Zamfara and why the candidature of Abu Nakwada is visible at this very critical time.
They expressed optimism that Nakwada will make it to the Governorship position under the umbrella of the PDP without much difficulty since Zamfara people are desiring for sustainable change.
The nominee who could not control his joy assured that he will widen consultation and also meet with all stakeholders to determine the next line of action.
