ZAMFARA INFORMATION COMMISSIONER RECEIVES NEW STATE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL OF RATTAWU

The newly elected Executive Council Members of Radio, Television and Theater Art Workers Union (RATTAWU) have paid a maiden courtesy visit to Zamfara State Commissioner for Information Sulaiman Tunau Anka.


The delegation led by its newly elected state chairman Ibrahim Bello Gusau said, the purpose of the visit is to familiarise themselves with the Commissioner and his team as they worked toward promoting the policies and programmes of the Matawalle led administration.

The Chairman who declared their readiness to work hand in hand with the present government to promote its policies and programme urged the Commissioner to spares permanent airtimes for the Union at State owned Zamfara Radio, Radio Nigeria Pride FM, Nigeria Television Authority NTA and Gamji Television for them to be able to enlighten the people of the state on the activities of the government.

 
 He also implore the Commissioner to initiate ways in which their members can be supported to further their education at various tertiary institutions within and outside the state.

In his response, the State Commissioner for Information Sulaiman Tunau Anka congratulated RATTAWU Zamfara State Council for conducting hitch free state Congress and urged the elected officials to have the fear of God and do justice to all their members.


He assured them of his readiness to continue to support staff under his ministry to further their education for the overal development of the state.

It could be recall that, last week RATTAWU Zamfara State Council conducted it’s Congress election where Ibrahim Bello of Zamfara State Radio emerged as its new Chairman alongside other members of his State executive council.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
