The lawmaker representing Maru North at the state house of assembly Kabiru Hashimu Dansadau has informed the media that he has to seek for the intervention of the police operatives to transport SS3 students from Dansadau to write their NECO examination in Gusau.
The lawmaker who stated this when he featured in Thunder Blowers TV show Dawache Kazo said the security situation along Gusau-Dansadau road, has raised a lot of suspicion that people no longer have confidence travelling on the road due to constant kidnappings and killings by armed bandits.
He said even on Tuesday the bandits took over the road, abducted many people and eventually killed one of the residents whose dead body is yet to be evacuated for burial.
The lawmaker said the SS3 students from Dansadau area were earlier instructed to move to Gusau for their NECO examination due to insecurity bedeviling the area, noting that they were released for Sallah festivities after the examination started.
He said to move the students back to Gusau after the Sallah activities was challenging due to resurgence of fresh attacks and abductions along Gusau-Dansadai road by the armed bandits.
Dansadau said, to prevent the SS3 students from loosing their examination he has to collaborate with the mobile police officers using armor tanks to escort the vehicles conveying the students from Dansadau to Gusau for their safety.
He assured that he would continue to do everything possible to ensure that his people can sleep with their eyes close and pursue alternative options for the return sustainable in his constituency.
