Early this week the former Councilor who represented Tudun Wada in Gusau Hon. Bashir Muhammad who is also a strong supporter of the ruling PDP in Zamfara announced his defection to the opposition APC.
He was received by the Acting Zonal Vice Chairman of the APC in charge of Zamfara Central Alh Sani Gwamna Mayanchi and State Vice Chairman Alh Musa Mallaha.
His defection according to a statement issued to this medium may not be unconnected with his reservation on the way the ruling PDP is managing the affairs of the state which he said it was unsatisfactory.
The Zonal Vice Chairman Sani Gwamna described the defection of Bashir Muhammad Tudun Wada as a welcome development to the party noting that more supporters of the PDP are joining the party soonest.
Barely five days after a strong supporter of APC Alh Yakubu Maigemu Gusau on the other hand defected from the opposition APC to the ruling PDP.
He was warmly received by the State PDP Chairman Alh Tukur Danfulani at a brief ceremony held at the state party secretariat Gusau.
Maigemu personally told this medium that he has defected to the ruling PDP simply because he needed progression in his political carrier.
