ZAMFARA POLICE COMMISSIONER SECURES 6 ABDUCTEES FROM CAPTIVITY

Zamfara State Police Command  in a joint Operation  with men from  “Operation Hadarin Daji”  have secured the release of 6 abductees from their captors on Sunday  along Gobirawa forest of Anka local government area of the state.
In a statement by the state police Command Public Relations Officer SP  Shehu Muhammad reads “the abductees were kidnapped on the 14th of June 2020 while they were at their respective farms and taken to Gobirawa forest by their abductors”. 
According to the statement, five ourt of the six victims were from Tubiki Village in Anka Local government while the other person was a native of Yankaina Village in Maru Local government area of Zamfara State  respectively 
SP Shehu Muhammad further explained that, the abductees after being rescued were reunited with their families on Sunday.
He said, the successes was part of the joint effort of security stakeholders led by the State Police Commissioner Barr. Usman Nagogo and assured the public that effort will be sustained to ensuring that, kidnapping and other acts of banditry have been checkmated and dealt with accordingly.
It could be recall that, the State Police Command in collaboration with the state government and other security stakeholders especially the military have embarked on deployment of joint security operatives in different flash point areas of the state aimed at fighting recalcitrant elements who refused to embrace the existing peace accord championed by the State Government.
Some of the areas where such deployment was made included Gemawa in Talata Mafara, Kwali in Bukkuyum, Kwantaragi, Mutunji and Bindin in Maru local government areas of the state.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
