Zamfara State Government has distributed assorted food items to the communities recently affected by the activities of suspected armed bandits in Talatar Mafara and Maru localgovernment areas of the state.
The assorted food items distributed included rice, maize, millet and cooking oil and the communities that benefited are, Tungar Laushi, Tungar Maba, Dogon Burtu, Anwala Gidan Kane and Kwantaragi.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Zamfara State Commissioner for Security and Home Affairs Abubakar Dauran Justice, said since after the attack, state government has been taking proper steps aimed at ensuring peace has been restored and that future attacks are prevented.
On her own part the Special Adviser to Zamfara State Governor on Humanitarian Affairs Faika Ahmad said the intervention released to the people is just an interim hence her agency has concluded plan to distributing 172 trucks of assorted food items to various victim communities to help cushion the effect of the banditry activities has caused the people of the state.
