ZAMFARA SCHOOL ABDUCTION: PRIVATE SCHOOL OPERATORS SENTS MESSAGE OF SYMPATHY TO ZMSG, CALLS FOR INTENSE PRAYERS

Members of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, Zamfara State, Chapter have joined millions of Nigerians to share their sympathy with zamfara state government, the Governor and good people of the state over the unfortunate incident of the abduction of 317 female students of Government Girls Secondary School Jangebe on Friday.


In a statement by the Chairman of the Association Alh Samaila Hussaini Garkuwan Moriki Sardaunan Kwangwami said, the association has condemned the incident in its entirety  and described the action of the abductors as “inhuman and barbaric”.


While sympathizing with the parents and relations of the abductees especially during this trying moment, they urged them to commit the whole scenario to God as millions of people are with them in the spirit and at heart praying to God for the safe return of their children.


They also commended the effort of the state government led by Governor Bello Matawalle in making sure that appropriate measures are put in place to secure the state from armed bandit activities.


The association also called on the Governor and all his aides not to be discouraged by the action of those unrepentant bandits who are still making things harder for the people of the state and urged them to continue to take appropriate steps and explore alternative options that would help in ending the crises. 


As for the closure of the boarding schools by the state governor the association said, the decision is apt especially with the recent presidential order by Muhammadu Buhari that Governors should enhance vigilant security around schools in order to secure students from the harassment of the armed bandits and kidnappers .


The members of the association also assured the state government that as operators of private schools they will do everything possible to compliment the effort of the government by improving visible security around premises of private schools in the state and pleaded with the parents and guardians to also support their effort with intense prayers


The association prayed for God divines intervention in this trying moment by ending the traumatic incident that befalls Zamfara State.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
