Zamfara State government in collaboration with the Nigerian soldiers had recorded another milestone as they launched a successful air strike at a deadly bandit hideout in Kangon Gabas in Magami district area of Gusau.
The attack was launched in response to the continued effort of the state government led by Bello Matawalle to ensure that it ends the incessant killings and murder of innocent Zamfara people.
Dozens of bandits were killed during the operation carried out by the joint military operation which resulted in neutralizing the deadly bandit camp.
The Kangon Gabas camp has been one of the deadly camps in Zamfara where bandits took advantage of its severity to be launching deadly attacks on innocent people.
The Kango operation was successfully carried out few days after the police launched a manhunt on some suspected gun runners who have been supplying arms and ammunition to the bandits in Zamfara forest.
The Governor of Zamfara had recently during a statewide broadcast assured the people of Zamfara that his government will strengthen commitment toward ensuring that banditry has come to an end in Zamafara state.
A resident of Kango Aminu Gana who spoke to this medium on phone said people of the area were so grateful to the state government of Zamfara led by Bello Matawalle and indeed the security agencies, especially the military for their joint effort to ensuring that the bandits camp at Kangon Gabas has been neutralised.
He said before the recent successes, people of Kango had been under constant attack by these heartless gunmen who attacked, killed, abduct and murder innocent lives without reasons.
He called on Governor Bello Matawalle to sustain the momentum; hence things are getting better this day’s.
