Principals and other heads of government senior schools in who deliberately omits any students from WAEC/NECO will not go unfinished hence Zamfara State Government is committed to ensuring all inclusive participation in accessing education by all the state citizens.
State Commissioner for Education Ibrahim Abdullahi Spirow stated this when he granted audience to the state chapter of Nigerian Association of Teachers of Arabic and Islamic Studies (NATAIS), who paid him a courtesy visit in his office on Thursday.
The commissioner who expressed happiness with the visit assured the state leadership of the association that the ministry under his watch will continue to accord priority to religion and culture of people of Zamfara State especially on issues related to education.
He also assured the members of the association that the state Ministry of Education will continue to partner with NATAIS to enhance the capacity of Teachers of Arabic and Islamic Studies in Zamfara State.
He also said, his ministry will take stringent measures for Schools that refused to comply with national policy in nrespect of registering/offering of Arabic or Islamic Studies by SS 3 Students.
He also assured them that, his ministry will also compile list of all teachers of Arabic and Islamic studies for registration with NATAIS.
Mr Spirow also assured them that soonest he will facilitate a meeting between them and State Governor so that they can interact with him for the progress of the association.
Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman of the association Dr. Bawa Muhammad Anka commended the commissioner for his tireless effort of moving education forward in the state.
