ZSHA C’TTEE ON WORKS INSPECT ON GOING RE-CONSTRUCTION OF DANMARKE-KANOMA ROAD

Zamfara state House of Assembly committee on works and transport  has expressed satisfaction with the quality of work so far executed by the contractor handling Danmarke-Ruwan Dorowa -Kanoma Road.


In a statement by the house Public Relations Officer Mustapha Jafaru Kaura reads “the commendation was handed down on thursday by the chairman House committee on works and transport Yusuf Muhammad Anka when he led his committee members to an oversight function at the project site”.

 
While commending the contrctor for executing quality job and within a limited period of six months since the contract was awarded. He called on the company  to ensure that, the project is completed within the time frame agreed between him and state government.
  

Also speaking, member representing Maru North Yusuf Alhassan Kanoma commended the state Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle for redeeming his pledge of awarding the contract for the reconstruction of the road which he said will go along way in minimizing difficulties encountered by the citizens of the area.

Kanoma assured the contrctor of his  safety noting that, a police out -post will soon be established along the road in order to avert the breach of security of the area.


Responding on behalf of the N.B.H.H.Construction company handling the project, Engineer Ajayi Bashiru told the House members that within the last six month since the commencement of the project the company has raised the project to 45% level of completion.

He noted that, for Danmarke-Kanoma  axis of the road up to 18 out of 21 kilometres have been reconstructed while that of Ruwan Doruwa has reached up to 30% completion level.
 
    
It could be recalled that, Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle led administration  awarded the contract for the reconstruction of Danmarke -Ruwan Dorowa -Kanoma Road  to N.B.H.H. Construction Company based in Abuja  sometime last year at the cost of N2,678,942,700 (Two billion six hunderd and seventy eight million Nine hunderd and forty two thousand seven hunderd naira only).

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
