ZAMFARA POLICE COMMISSIONER INAUGURATE SECURITY ADVISORY C’TTEE FOR MARADUN & BUNGUDU EMIRATES

Zamfara State Commissioner of Police Barr. Usman Nagogo has reaffirmed the resolve of the Police Force under the current IGP of strengthening community policing so that citizens can be given the opportunity to participate in the security management of their respective localities.

 
Barr. Nagogo made the declaration at the inauguration of Local government community policing Advisory Committee held at Maradun and Bungudu local Emirate Councils.

In a statement by the State Police Command Public Relations Officer SP Shehu Muhammad reads “the idea of Community Policing was to complement the security agents operating  in their areas , as  they can not cover all nooks and crannies of the state.”


The State Police Commissioner inaugurated  32 & 15 man Committees for Maradun and Bungudu at the Palaces of Emirs of Maradun Alh Garba Muhammad Tambari and that of Bungudu Alh Hassan Attahiru.

In their separate responses, the Emirs of Maradun Alh Muhammad Garba Tambari and that of Bungudu Alh Hassan Attahiru thanks the IGP for according them with  the opportunity to participate in the security management of their respective constituencies and pledged to continue to support the initiative for  better result.
 
The Commissioner of Police was accompanied to the programmes by the State Director Security, Commandant of Nigerian Securty and Civil Defense Corp, Commanding Officers 42 and 78 PMF Squadrons and other top ranking Police officers working in the command.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
