EMIR OF GUSAU CONFERS TITLE TO ZAMFARA FINANCE COMMISSIONER

Emir of GUSAU Alh Ibrahim Bello has conferred the title of Santurakin GUSAU to the serving state Commissioner for Finance Rabiu Garba.

The conferment according to the emirate source is in consideration of the contribution of the commissioner toward humanitarian development as well the track records of contributions of his father to the development of Gusau Emirate Council.

The Emir in a message urged the Commissioner to consider the title as a morale booster that will ginger him more to continue to assist people and make the Emirate Council proud.

In a short remarks the Commissioner thanked the Emirate Council for considering him worthy of honour and promised to do more in using his opportunity to assist others.

Former House of Representative member and former Special Adviser in Zamfara State Alh Sani Muhammad Banki has been the initial holder of the title of Santurakin Gusau until his death last year.

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
